Jontan is a musician, educator, and audio engineer in Chicago, Illinois.
My practices include composing, arranging, teaching, playing a range of instruments, as well as producing and engineering live and recorded music.

Projects include an independently released solo album, The Orange Book; string arrangements for other artists; audio engineering; and live performance as a bandleader and sideman.

I'm always journeying through music. At the moment, I'm getting ready to launch Trio Jontan, a Brazilian music project; overseeing the final mixes for my second album; and digging into Tim Maia's catalog.
